30 SECOND STARTS, SPLIT JUNCTIONS

Since competitors was going to start all Special Stages at 30-second intervals and each Stage was consisted of more than one lap, there was several cars circulating at one time. There was a split junction and a merge on each Stage. Countdown markers was positioned at 200 and 100 metres before these. Competitors was ensured they knew which route to take each lap. A Marshal was placed on each of these junctions; any crew who overshot and reverses was going to be EXCLUDED.

RED FLAGS

In the case of a serious incident on any of the stages RED FLAGS was displayed at various locations as per R24.4.5 & R25.6.4. Competitors on seeing a RED FLAG needed to stop as soon as possible R25.6.4. Failure to stop was resulted in exclusion from the event R Chart 32.2(s).
